Steven R. Minor

Steve Minor represents plaintiffs and defendants in jury trials and other proceedings in state and federal court in Southwest Virginia and surrounding areas. His practice has centered on a wide range of federal litigation, particularly civil rights and employment law claims, and diversity cases based on warranty or products liability claims. He has represented in litigation and provided counsel to local governments and small businesses from this area, and served as local counsel for national and international firms with business or litigation in Southwest Virginia. He has tried more than a dozen cases before juries or arbitration panels, sought and defended claims for injunctions in state and federal court, and argued seven appeals before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit and three state court appeals in Virginia. He has appeared before all the state and federal courts of record in the counties and cities that make up the Abingdon and Big Stone Gap divisions of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Virginia. He is admitted to practice in the state courts of Tennessee and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee, and has appeared in state or federal courts in Kentucky, West Virginia, North Carolina, the District of Columbia, and Ohio.
