Mr. Lawson's practice of over 30 years includes labor and employment law and other commercial litigation. He was instrumental in establishing the firm's labor and employment law practice. He has appeared before state and federal courts and agencies, including those outside the Tri-Cities (Bristol/Kingsport/Johnson City) regional area. Mr. Lawson has substantial experience before the National Labor Relations Board, and he represents management in union organizing campaigns and collective bargaining. He has appeared in appellate courts on numerous occasions and he is admitted to the bar of the United States Supreme Court. Mr. Lawson has been active in establishing and maintaining the firm's

Mr. Lawson has been deeply involved in the Bristol Community for many years, and he has served on the boards of Girls, Inc., Bristol Family YMCA, Theatre Bristol, and Kingsport Theatre Guild. He is active in his church, Christian Science Society of Bristol, Tennessee. When not working to pay for his hobbies, he enjoys hiking, sailing, scuba diving, singing, and acting. Mr. Lawson is married and has four children.
